She is survived by: her husband Wallace Lowery; her children, Jeff Lowery (Candy) and Amanda Matthews (Dean); her siblings, J. D. Overton (Linda), Frances Brown and Shirley Ayers; and her grandchildren, Kylie Lowery, Katie Lowery, Davis Matthews, Charlie Matthews and Alex Matthews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nelson Funeral Home (3659 AL-171, Fayette, AL 35555). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's honor to Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
