Sarah Champion Kizzire Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Champion Kizzire of Fayette, Alabama, who passed away on April 23, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Champion and Girthie Champion; her husband Alexander Kizzire; and her siblings, Buren Champion, Joe Champion, Lincoln Champion, Cora Mae Bobo, Bertha Lee Yerby and Jennetta Burkhalter.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Kizzire (Gail) of Fayette and Linda McCraw (Bob) of Fayette; her sister Barbara Watson of Fayette; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Richardson (Mike), Heather Whitehead (Lance), Jerrod Kizzire (Shea), Brandy Godwin (Adam) and Cassie Beck (Darryll). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest an honorary donation to Southside Baptist Church.
