He was predeceased by: his father John Denson Tenney; his brother Allen Tenney; and his grandparents, Sam, Eula Smedley, Ocie and Bessie Tenney.

He is survived by: his mother Myra Tenney; and his sister Vicky Tenney of Five Points.
