He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sims and Christy Coralee Shaw Weldon; his sons, Steven William Weldon and Roger Dale Weldon; and his siblings, Evelyn Sparks, H. R. Weldon and Doyle Weldon.
He is survived by: his wife Genella Jean Chapman Weldon; his daughter Phyllis Stephens (Donald); his grandchildren, Tommy Stephens (Alisha) and Amy Jones (Heath); his great grandchildren, Allie Grace Stephens, Claire Stephens, Jackson Jones and Maddox Jones; his siblings, Edna Weldon, Helen Weldon, Betty Schweda (Joe), Arland Welden (Sue), Clarence Weldon and Norman Weldon; his half-brothers, James Weldon and Earl Weldon; and also, Kim Higdon (Marty) and Karen Biddle (Darren). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
