He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Bethune Britt; his children, Marlese Tinker (Eric), Aaron Britt (Regina) and Bernice Whitley; his grandchildren, Jaron Tinker (Lacey), Ashley Carlson (Gregory), Alison Gillespie (Eric), Arianna Britt and Derrick Hancock (Erin); his great grandchildren, RayLee, Jalen, Judah Tinker, Remington, Reverie Carlson, Jedidiah, Keziah, Josiah, Azariah, Zachariah Gillespie and Olive Hancock; and his siblings, Hugo Britt (Dorothy), Barbara Jones (Lyness), Brenda Chapman (Ernest), Janice Shrader (Kenneth) and Joan Hardeman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
