He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Garvin and Unogar Johnson Garvin; and his brother Durrice Garvin. He is survived by: his wife Leona Faye Garvin; his daughter Sabrina Boddy (Spencer); his siblings, Lonnie Garvin (Shirley) and Yvonne Jordan (Roland); his sister-in-law Becky Garvin; and his cousin James Cobb. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
