With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Butler of Florence, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her husband James Butler; her parents, William D. Richey and Willie Mae Richey; and her brother Lucian A. Richey. She is survived by: her sister Margaret Ruth Richey of Gatlinburg; her children, Lisa Butler, Laura Brown, Greg Butler (Penny) and Heather Wilkinson; and her grandchildren, Amanda McCann (Ronnie), Allen Broadfoot (Natasha), Melissa Knight (Brian), Jessica Sharp (Matt), Chris Dean, Brittany Potter (Wes), Kelly Tucker (Preston) and Chris Brown (Morgan). She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenview Funeral Home (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenview Memorial Chapel (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633).
