It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettie Montgomery (Florence, Alabama), who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Bettie has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rush Montgomery; her son James L. Montgomery; and her daughter-in-law Peggy Montgomery. She is survived by: her children, Rush Montgomery, Don Montgomery (Gail), Cindy Kennedy (Dennis), Lassye Lamar (Tim), Jon Paul Montgomery (Frances) and June Pressman (Mike). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenview Memorial Chapel (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35630). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
