She was predeceased by: her husband James Daniel Darby; her parents, Dr. Ethelbert Brinkley and Laura Rosalind Norton; and her brother Elbert McCain Norton. She is survived by: her children, Clifford Daniel Darby (Kathryn) of Richmond, Virginia, Mary Ann Darby Howard of Macon, Georgia and John Patrick Darby (Caroline) of Mountain Brook, Alabama; her grandchildren, Patrick Roberts Darby (Kate), Margaret Olivia Howard, Helen Catherine Darby and John Thomas Darby; her great grandchild Henry Roberts Darby; and her brother E. B. Norton, Jr..
