He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Townsend and Flora Townsend; his daughter Amber Leigh; his granddaughter Addie; his grandparents, Joseph, Persia Townsend, Emment and Essie Haddock; his sisters, Patsy and Peggy; and his brother-in-law Bill Tully.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Townsend; his sister Jo Ann Harris; his daughters, LaShawn Tuttle and Amanda Chapman (Greg); his grandchildren, Ethan, Amberlyn, Erika (Chris), Destini, Taylor (Brandon), Caleb, Shane and Dylan (Calyssa); his great grandchildren, Hannah (Caleb), Bella, Neveah, Eli, Emory, Nova, Chevy, Paisley and Kinsley; and his great great grandchild Samuel. He is also survived by nieces & Nephews, a host of extended family, friends, and his church family.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
