He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Trousdale and Christine Trousdale; his grandparents, Clarence, Lilly Trousdale, Leslie and Blanche Dodd; his brothers, Glen, Jeff and Steve Trousdale; his stepmother Colleen Case Trousdale; his niece Heather Tully; and his nephew Rocky Gist.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gist Trousdale; his son Joel R. Trousdale; and his siblings, Wayne Trousdale (Sandra), Lane Trousdale, Linda Pollock (Sonny) and Cindy Lawson.
