He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia Ann Abernathy Hester; his children, Tim Hester, Rodney Hester (Monica) and Natalie Allen (Newman); his brothers, Leldon Hester (Linda) and Van Hester (Kaye); his grandchildren, Sarah Goodman (Grant), Elijah Hester (Natalie) and Carley Allen; his siblings-in-law, Steve Smith and June Clark (John Mark); his parents, Archie Leldon Hester and Eula Flora Bolton Hester; and his sisters, Joyce Hester and Sue Smith.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Church of Christ (101 Co Rd 323, Florence, AL 35634). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Of Christ Cemetery (2605 Co Rd 344, Florence, AL 35634).
