He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther McCarther and Florine Crigler McCarther. He is survived by: his wife O'Ral Claree Russell McCarther; his children, Felicia McCarther, Winterr McCarther, Autumn, Chris Davis, Summerr, Vaughn Hines and Robert Obadiah Springer McCarther, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Keith Deklerk, Jr., Arriona Davis, Chris Davis, Jr., Egypt Davis and Melodee Hines.
