We bid farewell to Columbus Nevada Womble of Florence, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 21, 2025 at the age of 98. Columbus touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Womble and Dorothy Womble; and his siblings, Edgar Womble, Jr., Charles "Dick" Womble, Arthur Womble and Edna Lela.

He is survived by: his children, Joel Womble (Caryn) of Michigan, Jean Ann Blethen of Michigan and Jane Sue Landis (Ryan) of Michigan; his brother Houston Womble (Pam) of Michigan; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua Blethen of Texas, Jamie Koop of Tennessee, Brent, Adam Womble of Michigan, Christopher and Stephanie Cornwell of Michigan. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.

“I will miss chatting with Uncle Jim ever so often on the phone. I don’t think I’ve seen him in person since I was a little girl. I remember during Covid we had FaceTimed and I was able to show him the drive thru lab that we opened with cars and cars lined up to get in to be tested. He thought it was pretty cool. One thing I know for sure is he is no longer in pain and dancing on the streets of gold with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! See you again one day, Uncle Jim. Love you! 💞”
