David Ray McDaniel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Ray McDaniel of Florence, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Frances McDaniel; his parents, Billy McDaniel and Mamie McDaniel; and his siblings, A. J. McDaniel, James McDaniel, Christine Butler and Carlene Ringelstein.
He is survived by: his sons, David McDaniel (Sharon) and Kevin McDaniel (Jodi); his granddaughters, Ann Lilly, Erin and Sophie McDaniel; and his brother Gene McDaniel.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Greenview Funeral Home (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pisgah Cemetery (3401 Co Rd 9, Florence, AL 35633).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Underwood-Petersville Fire Department.
