It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Anderson of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia King Anderson; his parents, Vernon Anderson and Zula Anderson; and his siblings, Dorothy Lowry, Kathleen Pope and Billie Anderson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Danford (Tony) and Julie Wilson (Preston); his grandchildren, Jeff Scott (Sara), Sara Worley (Collier) and Sam Wilson; his great grandchildren, Ava, Whitley Scott and Frances Worley; his brother Vernon Anderson, Jr.; and his close friend Jean Johnson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Woodmont Baptist Church (2001 Darby Dr, Florence, AL 35630). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
