She was predeceased by: her mother Emma McCullough; her husband Joe Edward Williams, Sr.; her son Grady M. Williams; her stepfather Major Thompson; her father Edson Hobbs; and her siblings, Jimmy Thompson, Oscar Thompson, Ike Thompson, Early Thompson, Pearlene Carroll and Odessa Morgan.
She is survived by: her children, Jessie Clopton (Willie), Emma Bolden, Alice Jones (Percy), Lena Williams, Henry T. Williams, Joe Williams and John Williams; her grandchildren, Sherita Williams, Tredgerick Williams, Eric Williams (Beth), Jason Kirkman (Evodnee), Denise Williams-Webster (Tamarri), Tia Darby, Michael Jones, Uniqua Williams, Jamorris Jones, Zagreus Beckwith, Talia Williams, Kendria Williams and Jenardis Burroughs (Monica); her sisters, Cora Major (Sheffield), Vallie King (William) and Opha Thompson (Florence); her sister-in-law Odell Thompson; her brother Rev Willie Thompson; her cousins, Andre and Anthony Hobbs; and her close friends, Mrs Melton Ambrose, Steve and Mary Edna Corrigan.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Thompson and Son Funeral Home (415 S Poplar St, Florence, AL 35630). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Eleven Grove Missionary Baptist Church (24865 Waterloo Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at the Walston Cemetery (24054 Co Rd 14, Florence, AL 35633).
