She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Ruth and Dwight Grover Somerville; her son John Gregory Evans; and her sister Carol Somerville Pilgrim. She is survived by: her husband John Douglas Evans; and her son Douglas Somerville Evans (Heidi Bartlett Evans). She is also survived by three grandsons.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (700 N Wood Ave, Florence, AL 35630). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in favor of Alabama Hospice of the Shoals or First Christian Church of Florence.
