He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Guthrie McFall; his parents, James McFall and Louise McFall; and his brothers, James O. McFall and Bill McFall.

He is survived by: his wife Gertrude "Trudy" McFall; his children, Charles McFall (Lauri), Kim Dickerson (Davis) and Becky Soler (Victor); his siblings, Bob McFall, Elizabeth Shores, Sarah Bryant, Virginia West and Martha Rhodes; his brothers-in-law, Jim Guthrie, Lowell Guthrie, Winston Guthrie and Marshall Guthrie; and his grandchildren, Brad McFall, Will McFall, Drew Dickerson and Austin Dickerson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
