With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Grace Marie Lindsey of Florence, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2026 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her husband Oliver Lindsey; her parents, William Arthur and Myrtle Cochran; her siblings, W. A. Cochran, Jr., George Cochran, Morris Cochran, Homer Cochran, Sarah Hill and Faye Mason; and her son-in-law Tom Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Lindsey (Janet) of Hohenwald, TN, Janice Hughes of Florence, Deb Johnson (Craig) of Trussville, Melanie Sharp of Florence and Vickie Goodman (Malcolm) of Huntsville; her grandchildren, Ronnie Lindsey (Ximena) of Smyrna, TN, Matt Lindsey (Natasha) of Tuscumbia, Danny Lindsey (Lori) of Killen, Jeff Weitz (Christy) of Killen, Kerri Hobbs of Sheffield, Megan Humphries (Chris) of Vestavia Hills, Amy Reese (Gabe) of Trussville, Jeremy Goss (Shayna) of Muscle Shoals, Miles Goss of Iuka, MS, April Morris (Matt) of Florence and Harper Goodman of Denver, CO; her brother Don Cochran of Florence; her sister-in-law Sophia Cochran of New Braunfels, TX.; her friend Lois; her granddaughter Chelsie; her great grandchild Scarlet; and her grandsons, Karson Goodman and Landon Hobbs. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Greenview Funeral Home (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Greenview Memorial Chapel (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633).
