He is survived by: his wife Shirley Arnett Butler; his daughters, Angie Green (Jerry), Becky James (Tommy) and Amy Roberson (Bobby); his grandchildren, Heath Green (Bridgett), Landon Tatum, Lana Weeks (Jason), Josh James, Emma Thigpen (Hank) and Olivia Danley (Jonah); his great grandchildren, Alexis Green, Aubrey Green, Jack Thigpen, Veronica Carter and Trent Carter; and his great great grandchildren, Jasper Oliver and Reed Sartin.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeral Home (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeral Home Chapel (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634).
