With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hugh Lansden McHenry of Florence, Alabama, born in Baxter, Tennessee, who passed away on June 25, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Gertie McHenry (Ford); his wife Betty Ann McHenry (White); his parent Claude C. McHenry; his brothers, Joe McHenry, Lloyd McHenry and Roy McHenry; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry White and Bobby White.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan McHenry and Emily Herston (Keith) of Florence, AL; his grandsons, Kevin and Nolan Herston; his brother Claude E. McHenry (Carolyn) of Baxter, TN; and his brother-in-law Dale White (Kathy) of Columbia, TN. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
The H.W. Durham Foundation in Memphis, TN was especially important to him and he served with them until his health began to fail.
