He is survived by: his wife Frances Griffin Duke; his son Michael Wayne Duke (Laura); and his grandchildren, Shyann Millian Duke of Florence, AL. and Logan Michael Duke of Florence, AL..

“I am so sorry about your family’s loss of Wayne. I always liked Wayne from the moment I met him. Both of our last names started with the letter “D” so we sat in alphabetical order in school. We were seated close in the classes we had together. Over the years I would see Wayne occasionally. He was always friendly to me. We especially enjoyed seeing each other at our Coffee High School reunions. He will be greatly missed by all of us that had the pleasure of knowing him. Brenda Bray”
