He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Abston and Rona Abston; and his sister Jean Bratcher (James). He is survived by: his wife Margaret O'Bryant Abston; his children, Stacey Abston and Shannon Abston (Tammy); his siblings, Dorothy Alexander (Charles) and Bill Abston (Linda); his granddaughter Courtney Abston; and his stepgrandson Zach Gamble.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the TRI - Cities Memorial Gardens (2601 Florence Blvd, Florence, AL 35630).
