It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ollie Thrasher of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lurleen Thrasher; his parents, James Thrasher and Velma Thrasher; his sisters, Ethel Forsythe, Betty Simpson and Edna Roberson; and his brother-in-law Bobby Givens.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Winters and Amanda Thrasher; and his siblings, Ed Thrasher (Natasha), Margaret Chaney (Larry) and Lavinia Givens. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
