James R.V. Dean Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. V. Dean of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on February 1, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Moore Dean; his former wife Treva Mills Dean; his parents, James Arthur Dean and Emma Williamson Dean; and his siblings, Hazel Walker, Woodrow Dean, William Dean (Bill), E. L. Dean and Durwood Dean.

He is survived by: his former wife Nellie Florence Moore; his children, Rhonda Everett (Pete), James Michael Dean (Carol Ann), Scott Dean (Shuntele) and Mistee Mason (Ricky); his grandchildren, Carrie Everett Grueter (Brad), Josh Everett (Erica), Bradley Dean (Jordyn), Whitney Dean (Bethany), Ethan Dean (Emily), Padean Mason White (Alex), Maverick Mason (Grace) and Emily Dean Manley (Zack); and his siblings, Jerry Dean (Rosie) and Sara York Preston (Tony). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Huntsville Hospital's Hospice Family Care, Still Serving Veterans, or to the Huntsville Fire Department.
