We are sad to announce that, on July 7, 2023, at the age of 91, Jane Leavitt of Florence, Alabama, born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Martin Leavitt; her son James Edward Leavitt; her grandson James Rickman Lane; her parents, Walter Joseph Miller and Mary Craig Miller; and her brothers, John Walter Miller and James Allen Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Jay of Richmond, VA., Joey of Florence, Jerry (Laura) of Florence, Jeff (Julie) of Decatur, Janel Chapman (Eric) of Baton Rouge, LA., Joan Lane (John) of Florence and Jeanne Reid (Billy) of Florence; her daughter-in-law Kelly Jeter Leavitt of Forest Grove, OR.; her siblings, Janet Burt of Aitken, MN and Jerry Miller of Bloomington, MN.; and her grandchildren, Mary Margaret Wright (Ben), Lauren Kyle (Darren), Katie Leavitt (Alex Larson), James Leavitt, Miller Leavitt (Grace), Anne Ryan Cavin (Grant), Sydney Leavitt, Hill Leavitt, Sylvia Carroll (Joey), Emily Carmichael (Laurence), Brigette Thomas (Corey), Jared Chapman (Nina), Michael Chapman, Martin Leavitt, Morgan White (Collin), Isabelle Strother (Evan), Claire Millhouse (Adam), Sophie Leavitt, Thomas, Jeffrey, Anne Holland, Mary Elizabeth Lane, Mattie Reid, Abba Reed (Nate), Walton Reid, Robert and Harris. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
