It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Mae Shields of Florence, Alabama, born in Stephenson, Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son John Shields, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband John Shields; her children, Larry Shields (Michele), Patricia Chandler (J. D.) and Craig Shields; and her grandchildren, Ashlee, Jason, Adam, Abby Grace, SueEllen and William. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to First United Methodist Church of Florence.
