He was predeceased by: his parents, W. R. Spears and Alma Spears; and his siblings, Sue Isenberg and William Earl Spears. He is survived by: his wife Nina Bevis Spears; his daughter Christina Starks (Jake); his niece Sherry Stegall (Tim); and his nephews, Charles Hendrix and Bobby Hendrix.
