He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Graham Garner; his brothers, James "Bud" Garner and Robert Neal Garner; his children, Shirley Garner Bickley (Don), John Ray Garner (Emiko), Neal Fischer Garner (Debbie) and Martha Garner Tucker (Mark); his grandchildren, William Lewis Yuille IV (Angela), Julia Bickley Higgins (Tony), Aoi Garner Horn (Sean), Micah Graham Garner, Nina Elizabeth Garner (Chaz), Hannah Theresa Garner, Nathan Bryant Garner, Mary Rachel Tucker and Benjamin Neal Tucker; and his great grandchildren, William Joseph Yuille and Charlie Elizabeth Straney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
