He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnnie Butler and Ruth Johns Butler. He is survived by : his uncle H. L.; his aunt Shirley Butler; and his caregivers, Grant, Aren, Kaleb, Katie, Dr. Najjar, Dr. Tyler, Dr. Smith and Huntsville Hospital.

A graveside service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at the Shiloh Cemetery (2605 Co Rd 344, Florence, AL 35634). A burial was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location.
