He is survived by: his children, Jerald Smith (Carol), Bobby Smith (Charlotte), Patty Littrell (Jack), Lorie Lovelace and Kevin Smith (Debbie); his grandchildren, Anthony, Craig Smith, Miranda Simpson, Brandi Miller, Amy Barrier, Wesley, TJ Lovelace, Colt Smith, Lacy Danielle, Robin Blackmon, Missy Miller, Laura Butler and Dana Gibbs; and his sister Mary Ann Mitchell. He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenview Memorial (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
