He is survived by: his wife Carol Franklin Bishop; his parents, Frank Bishop and Peggy Bishop; his siblings, Mackenzie Brock (Lee), Will Bishop (Drew) and Lee-Taylor Bishop; his grandchildren, Grady and Josephine Brock; and his brothers, Billy Bishop (Gini) and Barry Bishop (Jennifer).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Highland Baptist Church (219 Simpson St, Florence, AL 35630). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

He is scheduled to be inducted into the Alabama Tennis Foundation Hall of Fame.
