She is survived by: her sons, Eddy Carpenter (Pat) and Tony Carpenter (Robin Covelle); her grandchildren, Jessica Glover, Chelsea Carpenter and Chase Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Hope Glover Young (Tatum), Mark Edward Glover and Ella Grace Carpenter; her sister Peggy Peeden; and her pet Coco.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to, Mars Hill Bible School, Florence, Alabama in Joyce's memory.
