He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Futrell and Maggie Futrell. He is survived by: his wife Donna Melton Futrell; his daughter Wendy Futrell Trousdale (Brian); his grandchildren, Heather Trousdale and Marshall Trousdale; and his brothers, John Thomas Futrell and James Futrell (Bud).
