He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherry Garner and Sonny Garner; and his grandparents, Nettie Ruth Barnett, Johnnie Paul Barnett, Leonard and Ethel Garner.

He is survived by: his sister Holly Garner; and his aunts, Charlene McDaniel (Marlin) and Bonnie Barnett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
