He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Shanes and Magnolia Shanes. He is survived by: his sons, Leonard A. Shanes (Karinda) and Ray R. Shanes; his grandchildren, A'isha, Rayquan, Dante, Rayneka, Armondo and Quintin; and his foster sister Earnestine Curry. He is also survived by several cousins, aunts and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (1950 Helton Drive, Florence, AL 35630).
