She was predeceased by: her husband James Anderson McDowell; her parents, J. T. Pickering and May Pickering; her brother James Pickering (Ann); and her daughter-in-law Shirley Thomas McDowell.
She is survived by: her children, Louisa McDowell Sanders (Max) and James Ray McDowell; her grandchildren, Maria Sanders Ingram (Ryan) and Russ Sanders (Melissa); and her great grandchildren, Taylor Ingram, Connor Ingram, Zoey Sanders and Lucy Sanders.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Greenview Memorial Park (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Louise McDowell to the Alzheimer's Association or any charity of your choice.
