It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Phillips of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Buford T. Phillips; her parents, James Johnson and Crucie Johnson; and her siblings, Jack, Jesse, Roy, Robert, Alvis Johnson, Florence Whaley, Louise Whaley, Mary Dell Long and Edna Gray.

She is survived by: her daughters, Margo McDonald (Tommy) of Florence, AL, Debra Hanback (Jerry) of Florence, AL and Bonita Phillips Mecke of Florence, AL; her grandchildren, Amy McDonald of Wilsonville, AL, Will McDonald (Kelly) of Henderson, NV, Adam Hanback of Florence, AL and Eric Hanback of Florence, AL; and her great grandchildren, Reed McDonald of Madison, MS and Grant McDonald of Henderson, NV..
