It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Balch Odom of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melissa Balch Odom to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Wendell, Sarah Balch, Doris and Kendall Cosby; and her brother Adam Balch.
She is survived by: her parents, Jim Balch (Susan) and Lori Haraway; her children, Thomas Odom and Gabbie Espinosa; her sisters, Sabrina Hobbs, Amanda Reeves (Jeffrey) and Christy Puckett (Joey); and her nieces and nephews, Ryan, Jacob, Sara, Hanna, Eli, Lucas and Ava.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rogersville Funeral Home (18275 US-72, Rogersville, AL 35652). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Villard and Clayton Allen Balch Endowed Scholarship Fund.
