He is survived by : his wife Virginia Cochran Kemp (Jenny); his stepchildren, William Hunter Watson (Juliana), Morgan Elizabeth Watson (Brad) and Lauren Taylor Watson; his mother-in-law Johnnie Lou Cochran; his siblings-in-law, Becky Cochran Lindsey (Vince) and Bill Cochran (Lisa); his close friends, David and Pat Cumbie; his granddaughter Charlie Taylor Jackson; his great-niece Mary Patton Rains; his nephew Andrew Kemp (Stephenie); his great-nephews, Isaac Kemp and Carter Kemp; and his brothers, Doug Kemp and Jim Kemp.
During Covid, he started following David Carpenter's on-line Sunday School Class at Woodmont Baptist Church and it became a favorite Sunday morning event.
