She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Appleberry and Ida Sanders Appleberry; her husband Oscar Meredith Jr.; and her son Charles Edward. She is survived by: her children, Oscar James Meredith (late Anna), Patsy Hawkins Huntsville (Anthony) and Janis Harden (Samuel Jr.); and her siblings, Marylene Appleberry, Eric Appleberry, Mark Appleberry, Tracy Appleberry and Michael Appleberry of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
