She was predeceased by: her children, Paul and Jacky; her parents, Archibald Shepherd and Ethel Shepherd; and her brother Michael (June Shepherd) of Weymouth, England..

She is survived by: her husband John Bush (Jack); her daughters, Debra Ann Choate (Terry) and Tracey Lee Holly (David); and her grandsons, Colin Choate and Reid Holly (Brittany).

Reata and her family prefer no flowers be sent but that food and blankets be sent to the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter in her name.
