He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sharpston and Dora Sharpston; his siblings, Eugene Sharpston, Jr., Elsie Lovett, Juanita Turbyfill, Tex Sharpston and H. E. Sharpston; his daughters, Dora Sharpston and Theresa Winborn; and his grandchild Casie Winborn.
He is survived by: his children, Benny Sharpston (Carrie), RJ Sharpston, Lisa Hanback (Ricky) and Waylon Sharpston (Kaye); and his grandchildren, Jamie Sharpston, Jason Sharpston (Jessica), Joshua Sharpston (Preston), Shelly Benefield, Stephanie Terry, Theresha Winborn, Emmett Winborn, Greg Winborn (Samantha), Kayla Lane, Zack Winborn, Skyylar Pearl (Kayla), Corey Elrod, Andrew Sharpston (Caitlyn), Wesley Sharpston (Madison) and Alyssa Sharpston. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fords Mill Cemetery.
