He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Balentine; his parents, Cecil Balentine and Pearl Balentine; and his siblings, J. C., Burl, Earl, Bobby, Lonnie Balentine and Mary Gregory.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Hunt (Ken), Sherry Carpenter, Jerry Balentine (Kaye) and Angie Yates (Jamie); his sisters, Nita Threet, Etta Balentine and Rachel King; and his grandchildren, Kole Balentine, Courtney McSween, Molly West, Riley Balentine, Monica LeMaster, Parker Rutland and Lauren Yates. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.
