It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Dean West of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Minerva Baker Osborn; his stepfather Arthur Osborn; his brother Don West; and his sister-in-law Annette West. He is survived by: his children, Dana Holt (Steven), Jonathan West (Chastity), Tim Smith and Angela Davis; his grandchildren, Caroline Holt, Parker Holt, Case West, Brandi Smith, Tiffany Richardson, Jordan Smith (Nicki) and Ashton Smith; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Smith, Kylie Burns, Ja'Nyiah Richardson and Dean Smith; his brother Bill West (Kay); and his siblings-in-law, Lanice Vickery (Kenny), Rita Morgan (Joey) and Larry McCarley (Karen). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Shoals Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
