We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2024, at the age of 88, Shirley Jean Dennis of Florence, Alabama, born in Waterloo, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Dennis and Ersley Dennis; her siblings, Johnny Dennis and Sandra Dennis Smith; her former life partner Edwin Gean; and her son Denis Tennyson.

She is survived by : her children, Brenda Johnson of Florence and Jeffrey Chandler of Harbeson, DE; her brothers, Clarence W. "Buddy" Dennis (Rosa) and Donnie Dennis of Florence; her grandson Michael Johnson (Kim) of Florence; and her great grandchild Cody Johnson of Cleveland, TN. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
