It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Vaden Lack (Florence, Alabama), who passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Shirley departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Shirley leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Myron Lack; her parents, Noble Vaden and Myrtle Vaden; and her siblings, Betty Lindsey and Tom Vaden.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Lack (Erika Gautney) and Deborah Derrick (Larry); and her siblings, James Vaden and Ann Bevis. She is also survived by three grandchildren, five great - grandchildren, and three great - great- grandchildren.
