He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Alvie and Voster Grissom; and his siblings, Junior, Marie, Lois, Virgil and Ed (Grissom).

He is survived by: his wife Hatsi; his sons, Allen and Greg; and his brother Herbert Grissom. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers you can donate to one of his favorite charities the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) or Nacogdoches Animal Shelter.
