He was predeceased by : his parents, Hulet Wooten and Mollie Wooten; and his sister Dorothy Oakley. He is survived by : his wife Martha Wooten; his children, Brad Wooten and Kim Williams (Leonard); his grandchildren, Preslei Davis (Jacob), Briley Wooten, Garrett Williams and Dawson Wooten; and his great grandchildren, Lawson Davis and Porter Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
